Literacy Camps: $195 per week per child-
Monday through Friday 8:30-4
Camps are located in Essex or can be arranged to be provided on site at schools.
Summer literacy camps:
This exciting summer literacy program is designed for at-risk elementary and middle school students. These programs are week-long, thematic camps with lots of reading, writing, discussion, and fun-related activities. Each summer, children in Vermont public schools read, keep journals, and engage in creative activities around interesting themes. The goal of these literacy camps is to use literature as a door to a broader world for children who have not had the opportunities for these experiences.
The camps involve these children in the world of literature and ideas, fostering self-expression and confidence in a safe, nurturing environment. Humanities camps encourage kids to think critically about the world around them. Students experience the satisfaction that accompanies insight and self-discovery, while developing reading skills and a love of learning.
